This is the detail of the interior of the Hans Broos house, specifically of its fireplace, which is spectacular. I imagine myself in a comfortable armchair, with my feet resting on something, enjoying some drink (any non-alcoholic drink, well, wine, yes), on a sad, cold and rainy afternoon that no one in their right mind would want to go out, watching the firewood burn while observing that majestic frontispiece of that work of art, and the sensation that it must provoke should be similar to an orgasm from which no one wants to leave.
The mural itself is an authentic labyrinthine wonder of geometric motifs and different stone textures where the reflection of the burning fireplace does the rest. And I say this because of the play of shadows that must be projected, shadows that are in motion and therefore infinite and hypnotic. Maybe someone at some point in the day will shake you out of that reverie with a gentle shake, because otherwise time does not pass, hours and minutes do not exist, and everything around is insignificant.
Dreaming is free and I am content with just looking.
