También es el instrumento que marca el paso en los funerales, sonido y ritmo pausado, y triste. No hay pueblo que no tenga iglesia con su campana, y tampoco entiendo a los pueblos sin su sonido dominical.
En Castilla no hay pueblo sin su iglesia, iglesia sin sus campanas, campanario sin sus cigüeñas y viudas sin sus lutos.
