He de confesaros que me maravilla la física porque me hace pensar y me ayuda a centrarme, y no porque yo tenga algún problema, que no los tengo, pero he de reconoceros que la ciencia es pasión para mí.
Esta fotografía es eso: neutrinos soñados, capturados por primera vez en la historia de la ciencia, e hiperventilándose en un día tormentoso porque los neutrinos son incapturables (bueno, solo en un bloque de plomo de un grosor de un año luz) y que ni tan siquiera interactúan con nada cuando atraviesan cualquier objeto.
Seguramente sea una ensoñación particular donde una fotografía me hace pensar en mundos físicos casi imposibles, en una sopa de leyes y fórmulas que se acercan, como el arte contemporáneo, a la enajenación mental.
I must confess that Physics amazes me because it makes me think and helps me focus—and not because I have any problems, which I don't—but I have to admit that science is a passion for me.
This photograph is just that: dreamed-up neutrinos, captured for the first time in the history of science, and hyperventilating on a stormy day because neutrinos are uncatchable (well, only in a lead block the thickness of a light-year) and they don't even interact with anything when they pass through any object.
It's surely a personal daydream where a photograph makes me contemplate almost impossible physical worlds, in a soup of laws and formulas that approach, like contemporary art, a state of mental derangement.
