Estamos en un aparte de mi viaje a Ávila que viene a continuación del post anterior y del que ahora os traigo este edificio que me llamó la atención por su armonía y su "matematicalidad". Si uno se fija detalladamente nos encontramos ante un edificio luminoso, de líneas rectas, lo cual le imprime armonía como he dicho antes (y paz de espíritu), pero que a pesar de eso no transmite pesadez.
Me aventuro a decir que estamos ante una neo iglesia laica ya que es un edificio civil, que representa para mí algo del gótico o neo gótico para ser exacto, o gótico contemporáneo para fijarle aun más en el tiempo.
El gran ventanal dividido en vanos rectangulares (14, los doce apóstoles mas Jesucristo y María Magdalena, sé que esto es muy atrevido) da esplendor y luminosidad a esa fachada sustituyendo al clásico rosetón de iglesias y catedrales del gótico. Si os fijáis en la parte derecha de la fotografía estamos ante una torre inacabada, también de líneas rectas, donde la entrada de luz sigue siendo el tema principal en armonía con el frontispicio que hay encima de su puerta.
Si vas un día por Ávila no dudes en visitarlo aunque ha decir verdad pasa desapercibido entre tanta riqueza arquitectónica que tiene la ciudad.
We are in a section of my trip to Ávila that follows the previous post and from which I now bring you this building that caught my attention for its harmony and its "mathematicality". If one looks closely we find ourselves before a luminous building, with straight lines, which gives it harmony as I said before (and peace of mind), but that despite that does not transmit heaviness.
I venture to say that we are before a neo secular church since it is a civil building, which represents for me something of the Gothic or neo Gothic to be exact, or contemporary Gothic to set it even more in time.
The large window divided into rectangular openings (14, the twelve apostles plus Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene, I know that this is very daring) gives splendor and luminosity to that façade replacing the classic rose window of Gothic churches and cathedrals. If you look at the right side of the photograph, we can see an unfinished tower, also with straight lines, where the entrance of light continues to be the main theme in harmony with the frontispiece above its door.
If you are in Ávila one day, don't hesitate to visit it, although to tell the truth, it goes unnoticed among so much architectural wealth that the city has.
