Lines and angles in the sky and on the ground. Geometries that surround us and coexist with us like a silent creative act. I have said it many times: we live under the subtle imposition of the right angle, a structure that offers little—or perhaps too much—to our imagination.
In this photograph, however, everything is harmony. Aside from the straight line (that monotonous element which, paradoxically, relaxes), the image contrasts with nature. A nature untouched by human intervention, inhabiting a spontaneous yet mathematical world, free from the artificial harmony we have had to invent to design and build our things.
I do not see it as a confrontation; there are no rules of engagement here. It is a complement. An intimate dialogue between God and human beings, where nature, from time to time, becomes revolutionary to reclaim what is hers.
In the end, we only occupy a borrowed space that we alter for our own comfort. A beautiful and constant struggle for survival.
