Resultó curioso cómo un humilde resto de construcción encontró un nuevo hogar en mi casa. Aquel fragmento de hierro, residuo robusto de una viga, yacía olvidado entre los escombros de una parcela. Su superficie oxidada contaba historias de intemperie, marcada por cicatrices de óxido y que el barro y la humedad contribuyeron también a su corteza agreste, pero su presencia me cautivó al instante. Intuí sus posibilidades elementales, la oportunidad de rescatarlo del abandono y metamorfosearlo en una escultura. El proceso fue sencillo y gratificante: una purificación con agua, un paciente lijado, la aplicación de una capa protectora antioxidante y, finalmente, el toque de color dorado con espray.
Desde el primer instante, la intrínseca fuerza del hierro me atrajo poderosamente, evocando nuestro pasado ancestral, la Edad del Hierro, cuando la humanidad comenzó a dominarlo con esfuerzo y perseverancia. Aquel dominio, a su vez, impulsó las revoluciones técnicas que han modelado nuestro presente.

It was curious how a humble remnant of construction found a new home in my house. That fragment of iron, a robust residue from a beam, lay forgotten among the rubble of a plot of land. Its rusted surface told tales of weathering, marked by rust scars, and the mud and humidity also contributed to its rough, unrefined exterior, yet its presence captivated me instantly. I sensed its elementary possibilities, the opportunity to rescue it from abandonment and metamorphose it into a sculpture. The process was simple and gratifying: a purification with water, a patient sanding, the application of a protective anti-rust layer, and finally, the touch of golden color with spray paint.
From the very first moment, the intrinsic strength of the iron powerfully attracted me, evoking our ancestral past, the Iron Age, when humanity began to master it with effort and perseverance. That mastery, in turn, propelled the technical revolutions that have shaped our present.
