Just the detail is enough for me. This is Michelangelo's work of Christ, but I only want to highlight the face, and more than the face, the expression of that Christ who accepts his condemnation "because it was written like that", without hate or resentment, accepting that he is the son of God apart from fulfilling his cruel destiny. I would like to know who inspired him to achieve such perfection, although I am inclined without proof, that it is his face and he offered it to us for posterity.
That face makes me sad; at the same time calm and grieving, the duality of having fulfilled his destiny without a sign of resentment towards humanity.
That is why it invites us to prayer and introspection to connect with the Creator as much as possible, that is why I believe that Michelangelo with that face, achieved it.
I leave you two videos that I think are necessary to understand Michelangelo a little. The first is the creation of man and the other, the prologue at the beginning of this film.
