207 - #FOTOGRAFÍA - El misterio de la noche: entre la bruma, el arte y la seducción por Dosmilcien + #PHOTOGRAPHY - The Mystery of the Night: Between Mist, Art, and Seduction by Dosmilcien +#摄影 - 夜之迷思:薄雾、艺术与诱惑的交织 —— Dosmilcien 著 + #PHOTOGRAPHIE - Le mystère de la nuit : entre brume, art et séduction par Dosmilcien

A cosmic yet mysterious photograph. A moon veiled by the mist tries to peek through like a nocturnal lighthouse guiding us through the twilight. Beneath it, stones illuminated in an almost surreal way recreate the crust of some distant world; a landscape that evokes humanity’s relentless obsession to know, explore, and at least try to explain the incomprehensible. At the bottom, iron bars shaped like "M"s are drawn like an abstract signature. It is a stroke that tells us nothing because it belongs to no one, yet at the same time, it belongs to everyone: to anyone who shares the profound gaze of the person who managed to capture this specific scene.

Night is the territory of poets, the refuge of love, of the lycanthrobe, and of witchcraft; the perfect stage for serenades and ditties to the beloved woman. But the night also belongs to mystery, to misdeeds, and to those painters who pursue neither color nor daylight, but rather the dark and magical instant. It is that exact moment which, for some hidden reason, inspires them to create works loaded with sensitivity and open to infinite interpretations.

The night you have before you embraces all of that. And perhaps something more that escapes my mind, but which surely each of you who pause before it will interpret according to your own artistic sensitivity.

It is the moon wrapped in a subtle mantle of clouds, playing at showing without revealing. It is an erotic act that captivates us precisely because of what it hides, what is sensed but not seen, trapping us in the game of a one-way seduction where we, the spectators, are mere voyeurs.

#FOTOGRAFÍA - Le Corbusier por Irving Penn, Nueva York 1947 + #PHOTOGRAPHY - Le Corbusier by Irving Penn, New York 1947 + #摄影 - 勒·柯布西耶,欧文·佩恩摄于纽约,1947年 + #PHOTOGRAPHIE - Le Corbusier par Irving Penn, New York 1947

To speak of Le Corbusier is to invoke one of the most decisive and influential figures in modern history. However, reducing him to architecture would be a mistake: he was also a prolific writer —famous for his lyrical The Poem of the Right Angle— and an urban planner whose vision, as bold as it was controversial, redefined our cities. He has recently been dubbed the "prophet of modernity," a title earned through his courage to suspend concrete on pilotis, crown buildings with rooftop gardens, and pierce façades with horizontal windows that capture natural light with surgical precision.

Beyond his blueprints, his essence was immortalized in Irving Penn’s portrait. In this image, we see a classic representation of a 20th-century man: a hand resting on his temple, a universal gesture evoking the thinker or philosopher of any era. It is a moment of introspection seeking support in the tangible. To this end, nothing is more symbolic than a piece of raw carpet, a material in its virginal state before being integrated into one of his masterful works.

The architect’s countenance and attire define the character with absolute clarity. The sobriety of his clothing and the play of chiaroscuro in the shot convey an almost mystical sensation: it is as if we were standing before a cardinal who has hung up his robes to embrace a new faith. Le Corbusier appears here as the high priest of the "church of modern constructivism," a man who exchanged incense for cement and cathedrals for machines for living.

206 - #FOTOGRAFÍA - Suelos de Dosmilcien + #PHOTOGRAPHY – Floors by Dosmilcien + #摄影 – Dosmilcien的地面系列 + #PHOTOGRAPHIE – Sols par Dosmilcien

There is something profoundly artistic in the unity that creates order. Although destined to be stepped upon and ignored by the distracted gaze, my lens discovered a different narrative within them.

It is not merely a matter of design or comfort; it is the way textures dialogue with sunlight, reflecting it in whimsical glimmers. Every material, no matter how humble, serves as a mirror for the sun. Floors, after all, that sustain both our architecture and our gaze.

205 - #FOTOGRAFÍA - Ecos de danzas Sufí por Dosmilcien + #PHOTOGRAPHY - Echoes of Sufi Dances by Dosmilcien + #摄影 - 《苏菲舞的回声》 Dosmilcien 著 + #PHOTOGRAPHIE - Échos de danses soufies par Dosmilcien

"Echos of Sufi Dances" is not merely a song title by the late maestro Franco Battiato; it is the genesis of this work. Inspired by the mysticism of the whirling dervishes, who pursue a divine connection through rotation and meditation, this image seeks to capture that union with the absolute.

In this photograph, we stand at the threshold. I have always been fascinated by border zones: that liminal space where the earthly and the divine, light and twilight, collide. The composition draws us into a cavity that serves as the soul’s envelope, a sanctuary reached only through conscious movement and inner silence. It is an extrasensory transit, a journey between our physical and immaterial selves, driven by the search for truth.

The work plays with our inherent dualities —body and soul, faith and reason, order and chaos— tracing a path toward divine wisdom. This representation overwhelms me with its honesty; in it, the shadows are not a terrifying void, but open arms offering protection against all evil. Ultimately, this photograph acts as a "vocal silence": a visual cry urging us to go further and assuring us that, in the depths of that journey, we have nothing to fear.

I often reflect on fashion not as a consumer object, but as an unstoppable creative evolution that defines our contemporary world. To be honest, I had never paid much attention to this field, but upon discovering its innovative and artistic potential, something has changed within me. Now, this art attracts me; I feel the need to observe and decipher its language.

Today, I want to share with you an image that is elegance personified. In it, we see Elizabeth Cowell—the iconic BBC presenter during those difficult years—wearing a garment by the famous Irish couturier Digby Morton with imposing style.

However, beyond the glamour, the impeccable tailoring, or the serene beauty of the model, what is truly moving is the composition of this photographic narrative, captured for VOGUE in 1941 by Lee Miller. Faced with the barbarity of a cruel war, surrounded by ruins that represent the tears of the world, Cowell rises like a Greek muse.

She is an Aphrodite born from the destruction caused by human beings; a kind of "messiah" destined to redeem humanity after the destruction of its environment. It is a visual miracle: the rebirth of a design that seems to forgive the sins of the world, which are many.

To this compositional mastery, we add the use of black and white, which provides a rictus of sobriety and an almost mystical depth. It is, ultimately, a sensation of beauty so pure that, looking at it, I feel it tears my soul away.

* "The photograph was taken by Lee Miller, a woman who went from being a high-fashion model to a war correspondent, which explains that unique gaze that blends elegance with the tragedy of the ruins."

(Elizabeth Cowell)

#FOTOGRAFÍA - David E. Scherman vestido para la guerra de Lee Miller + #PHOTOGRAPHY - David E. Scherman Dressed for War by Lee Miller + #摄影 - 李·米勒镜头下全副武装的戴维·E·谢尔曼 + #PHOTOGRAPHIE - David E. Scherman en tenue de guerre par Lee Miller

The Face of Horror: David E. Scherman Under the Gaze of Lee Miller

The reality of human barbarism, when photographed in its ultimate consequences, is always spine-chilling. This image stands as a testament to how far we are willing to go for the ambition of dominance. In it, war correspondent David E. Scherman prepares to capture the conflict in its rawest sense; yet, right in front of him, as if in a duel of mirrors, it is photographer Lee Miller who trips the shutter for the iconic LIFE magazine.

At first glance, it does not look like a duel to the death, but the composition evokes that very tension: two human beings facing each other in a setting where reason has been lost. It is the paradox of war captured in an instant: the photographer photographed.

The image exudes a claustrophobic atmosphere. Scherman appears clad in a gas mask, an element that strips the subject of his humanity and turns him into an anonymous being, a "sub-human" without a face or apparent feelings. That mask forces him to view the disaster through a limited window, perhaps as a visual metaphor for how humans protect—or hide—themselves to avoid feeling shame or sorrow for the horror surrounding them.

However, amidst such somber symbolism, a nearly poetic detail emerges: the umbrella. What technically serves to protect the lenses from unwanted solar flares becomes, from my perspective of a world at peace, a vanishing point of hope. It is an everyday object, almost tender, in the middle of the machinery of war; a reminder of that peace which, as a beautiful and necessary word, every soldier should keep in their memory.

It is a deeply sad photograph. It reminds us that, on the front lines, man must sometimes renounce his identity to become just another cog in the machinery of tragedy.

204 - #FOTOGRAFÍA - Homenaje a Aldred Hitchcock sobre una obra de Wolf Vostell + #PHOTOGRAPHY - Homage to Alfred Hitchcock based on a work by Wolf Vostell +#摄影 - 在沃尔夫·福斯特尔作品基础上向阿尔弗雷德·希区柯克致敬 + #PHOTOGRAPHIE - Hommage à Alfred Hitchcock sur une œuvre de Wolf Vostell

This piece is my starting point within the universe of Wolf Vostell, a fundamental figure of the Fluxus movement. Upon the canvas of a perpetually moving waterfall, my silhouette emerges: a shadow displaced to the left, observing the figures that populate the scene with a blend of irony and detachment. It is a deliberate nod to the visual language of Alfred Hitchcock—a gaze positioned, not without a certain critical superiority, above the leaders who defined an era: from the terrifying Margaret Thatcher to the bellicose Ronald Reagan and the figure of Mikhail Gorbachev, who sold the USSR to the highest bidder.

Vostell’s original work inhabits (or used to inhabit) the spaces of the Helga de Alvear Museum in Cáceres. Projected in the twilight of a room where the flow of water dictates the rhythm of time, the piece invites an almost meditative introspection. It is a space that forces us to confront our political thought, a place to analyze the scars of the past and the directions of the present. It is precisely there where the spectator must pause; allowing the "inquisitive" gaze—typical of those confronting contemporary art—to rest, letting the mind become porous and receptive to the aesthetic challenges yet to come.

In this reinterpretation, I assume the role of a distortion. I act as a usurper proposing a new reading of this masterful creation. My intention is not the vain pretension of improving the unimprovable, but to render a hybrid tribute: an homage to cinematic genius and, simultaneously, a gesture of rebellion. It is the voice of those of us who inhabit the periphery of power, those of us "at the bottom," reaffirming our existence against the omnipresent hegemony of politics and capital.

203 - #FOTOGRAFÍA - Órgano por Dosmilcien + #PHOTOGRAPHY - Organ by Dosmilcien + #摄影 - 《风琴》Dosmilcien 词作 + #PHOTOGRAPHIE - Orgue par Dosmilcien

This faint luminescence emerging from this photograph is not merely an optical phenomenon; it could well represent the light organ of a new modern liturgy within the cathedrals of the future, designed by the humanity of tomorrow. In this setting, we encounter a digital instrument capable of rewriting history, where the scores of contemporary composers engage in a dialogue with the echoes of masters such as Antonio de Cabezón, whose works would be reinterpreted under a radically new sonic and technological architecture. This vision, far from being a mere figment of the imagination, finds its resonance in the avant-garde explored by figures like Jean-Michel Jarre, who previously materialized music through light organs, transforming photons into a tangible sensory experience.

Contemporary art teaches us that a work is never univocal, and the shadows projected in this piece offer a thousand and one possible readings. However, their interplay of contrasts already suggests a direction; the intentionality of the snapshot traces an interpretive map that places us before an organ of light-pipes. In this space, the future is not narrated through words, but explained through musical notes emanating from non-existent elements—an ethereal matter that, although nearly incomprehensible to us today, constitutes the language of tomorrow.

#PINTURA - Silencio azul por Diego Vallejo + #PAINTING - Blue Silence by Diego Vallejo + #PEINTURE - Silence bleu par Diego Vallejo + #

This work is rooted in realism, yet not as a mere exercise in mimesis—the representation of nature or human action—but as a generational portrait. Although I do not belong to the timeline it portrays, it is impossible not to recognize the social function that we all, at some point, end up assuming.

Personally, I would venture to call it "phantasmagorical realism." There is something in the diffuse sharpness of the scene that captivates: a youthful everydayness that bursts with unusual force into today’s artistic fabric. Diego Vallejo places us on that porous border where reality and fiction cease to be mutually exclusive. It is a game of hide-and-seek with our perception; a constant pulse where we ask ourselves, almost with anguish, whether we are facing a photograph or a painting.

In this "infernal game," the author uses blur and vibrant saturation to manipulate our subjectivity. Are we looking at a contemporary trompe-l'œil? Undoubtedly. It is not a film still, yet it possesses that same narrative weight: it takes a fragment of normality and elevates it to the status of pure art, leaving us with the sensation of an unfinished frame, a memory on pause.

Taking my reflections to bolder ground, I perceive in his work a veiled homage to Velázquez. With an almost malevolent bravery, Vallejo translates the essence of the Sevillian master into the 21st century. Much like in The Surrender of Breda, the author dares to do the most difficult thing: to paint the atmosphere. He desacralizes the classic canon to remind us that air and light remain the true protagonists of our gaze.

202 - #FOTOGRAFÍA - El umbral del sosiego: El Camino de las Cerquillas por Dosmilcien + #PHOTOGRAPHY - The Threshold of Serenity: El Camino de las Cerquillas by Dosmilcien + #PHOTOGRAPHIE - Le Seuil de la Sérénité : El Camino de las Cerquillas par Dosmilcien +#摄影 - 宁静之阈:塞基利亚之路 —— Dosmilcien 摄

The Camino de las Cerquillas could easily be the synthesis of any corner of Spanish geography, yet its pulse belongs to Sotillo de la Adrada, in Ávila. It is not merely a path; it is an invisible frontier, the final line of containment separating urban order from the untamed freedom of nature.

For the observer—or for those framing through a viewfinder—the choice this path presents is almost existential. To the right, the urban reality awaits: a stage of contrasts where collective solutions coexist with daily miseries, and community virtues meet their inevitable clamor.

However, by turning one's gaze to the left, the world transforms. We distance ourselves from the "madding crowd" to immerse ourselves in Mother Nature. It is a space stripped of modern comforts, yet rich in a dual peace, both internal and external. It is the perfect setting for that permanent search for our deepest, most secret "self," far from social masks.

In essence, the Camino de las Cerquillas represents that necessary escape. It is the refuge we seek when we manage to shed the burden of work to recompose ourselves, drawing nourishment from the vital essence of village life. That is why the composition of this image is born from this specific angle: as a visual reclamation of those liminal spaces that, for our own spiritual balance, should never disappear.
