#DISEÑO - El "ojo" del cine español: Nostalgia y cubismo en Estudios Picasso + #DESIGN - The "eye" of Spanish cinema: Nostalgia and Cubism at Estudios Picasso +#设计 - 西班牙电影之“眼”:皮卡索工作室的怀旧与立体主义 + #DESIGN - L'« œil » du cinéma espagnol : Nostalgie et cubisme chez Estudios Picasso

Who doesn't remember series as iconic as 7 vidas? For many, it represents one of the heights of comedy on our television, but beyond its scripts, there is a visual element that has always remained etched in my memory: that corporate image that preceded every production. It isn't just a matter of branding, but of the sheer strength of its Picassian aesthetic. From my perspective—perhaps subjective, but always passionate—this logo is an authentic visual marvel that immediately invokes the genius of the great Pablo Picasso.

This film production company has always been intrinsically linked to the history of private television in Spain and the arrival of Telecinco during the Berlusconi era. Over time, the brand evolved through names like Producciones Cinematográficas Telecinco before becoming the current Telecinco Cinema. And although the current name is effective, I confess I am still "in love" with the original identity of Estudios Picasso because of the artistic depth and soul it projected from the very first frame.

We are looking at a purely Cubist design, a masterful interpretation that draws directly from the visual language of the Malaga-born genius. Its large eye is not a mere ornament; it is a statement of intent that emphasizes that cinema is, above all, the art of the gaze. Through this organ, we achieve cinematic vision, observing with equal intensity both the beauty and the horrors that surround us. It is a piece of design that transcends the commercial to become an ode to observation, reminding us that the origin of all creation is always born from what we are capable of seeing.

#PINTURA - Picasso y Dalí por Ricardo Cavolo + #PAINTING - Picasso and Dalí by Ricardo Cavolo + #PEINTURE - Picasso et Dalí par Ricardo Cavolo + #

This Fauvist-style piece represents an absolute stroke of genius by Ricardo Cavolo, not only for the visual power of the painting itself, but for the audacity of the narrative it unfolds before us. In it, Cavolo places us before two of the greatest pillars of art history, Picasso and Dalí, proposing a visual exercise that transcends simple portraiture. What is truly fascinating about this work is how it manages to capture the collision of two opposing worldviews facing the same everyday object: an egg.

To Picasso's Cubist eye, the world is deconstructed into a geometric synthesis; here, the egg sheds its organic fragility to transform into a cube of direct execution where line and right angles prevail. On the opposite end, for Dalí, that same object becomes an oniric vision, a desire that escapes reality to inhabit the realm of pure dreamlike wonder, baring the Empordà artist's soul before everyone.

Cavolo uses a palette of primary colors—visceral tones that seem extracted from the very essence of the earth—to stage this war of titans. The composition evokes a duel from the American Old West where brushes replace revolvers and the only ammunition is their distinct realities. Ultimately, it is a game of superlative courage proposed by the author, where the only underlying violence is, paradoxically, that of a deep and mutual admiration.

#PINTURA - El beso por Pablo Picasso + #PAINTING - The Kiss by Pablo Picasso

Another renaissance man with multiple artistic edges and creator or promoter of almost all the avant-garde movements of the 20th century. We are before the best painter of all time in the history of humanity (with permission from Velázquez), a pacifist and communist by the way (let us not forget this because the official history of this monster of the art world always hides it).

This painting tells us a lot and tells us almost nothing. It represents a kiss within another kiss, or the internalized love that two people have and that settles inside our heart becoming something so important that we could not live without it as if we were missing our lungs, to give an example.

Although the dilemma of what came first, the chicken or the egg, has been scientifically resolved, this work by Picasso has an air of the most famous image of Taoism, Yin and Yang, but in a more creative way. The reason is quite simple: Yin and Yang represent light and darkness, two opposing and complementary forces, as in this painting, but referring to love, without which this force and its opposite, heartbreak, pure love or love itself would not exist.

We are before the great master of masters and before you I bow, Great Picasso.

#picasso : dos bañistas

syndicate#art

Two dull swimmers and little definite. This painting of Picasso caught my attention by the ways of his only two citizens who exist in that paradise. The same thing we are talking about Adam and Eve in the orchard that God put at his disposal and by the darkness of it I dare to say that the earth by order of the creator was still the last phase of its creation. But no, they are two swimmers according to its creator also Picasso but somewhat strangers since he lying, looking at the woman, is a sexless being that nothing has to teach and if we take it to the matter of Adam and Eve it resembles God that as you know is man and woman at the same time. She covered, I do not know if for modesty or because in time the body of the woman was something forbidden, which with a towel hides his "shame" for being the future incitement to sin and disobedience to God.
But this vision of paradise according to Picasso has its own contradictions since the woman of foot, ie that it walks upright, is that which dominates the creation, which dominates the fury of the seas, which subordinates its presence to the submission of the man leaving this in a second Plane, a plane dominated by its beauty, by its strength and who knows if by Picasso's desire to place the woman in the place that corresponds.

Just as the one who does not want the thing comes Picasso and paints these pigeons perched on a balustrade facing the sea. It seems that had something of haste surely before those pigeons go up the flight, in search of the freedom (very pedantic I know it) and therefore had to capture almost in photographic plan that scene. Still, I like the picture by its immediacy, by its  "ease " of execution and because the art should not be perfect and should not reflect with a sharpness of 4k what the artist sees or feels as everything would be too cold and predictable

#Picasso : #altamira, pablo picasso

What a legacy of our ancestors!
We are told by the experts that before painting the caves, fill of works of art, the first artistic expression was music and dance, of which as you know we have nothing left.
Here we have what we were left by those who preceded us in terms of art. It may be that here it is born or here it ends, who knows. According to Picasso who told us that:  "After Altamira, everything is decadence " generated this tremendous doubt. Can we say that Picasso himself was part of that decline? Or did Picasso splash like a fish in the water in that decadent pond creating his impressive legacy?
